The Co-Creative Birthing Circle is created by Kara Spencer, LMT, CD, CBE, a childbirth educator, birth and postpartum doula, perinatal bodyworker, doula trainer, birth and women's circle facilitator, women and children's health advocate, writer, and mother. Kara is also the owner of Maia Healing Arts and the U.S. Director of Birth Arts International.
There is an Advisory Circle consisting of a team of midwives, doctors, childbirth educators, doulas, and mothers who review and support the Co-Creative Birthing Circle to ensure that we co-create exceptional childbirth education in alignment with the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS) Mother-Friendly and Baby-Friendly Childbirth Initiatives and the Lamaze Institute's Six Care Practices the Support Normal Birth.
